The SE8000 Series room controllers are configurable, application-specific controllers with native control sequences to efficiently manage HVAC systems. The configurable parameters of the SE8000 can also include occupancy management, schedules, economizers, integration of external sensors, and more.

The firmware of the SE8000 controllers can be upgraded using the SE8000 Uploader Tool to add the latest features and functionality. Lua scripts (Lua4RC) can also be uploaded into the SE8000 controllers to modify the native control sequences, or override inputs and outputs.

Note: Firmware and script files are not available for the SE7000 Series room controllers.

SE8000 Uploader Tool

The SE8000 Uploader Tool enables a user to perform three main functions in sequence. First, upload custom image files to the controller for display when in standby mode. Second, upload Lua scripts to the controller to perform custom applications. Third, upload firmware updates to the SE8000 room controllers.

Lua Programming Guide

The SE8000 Series room controllers can run custom applications designed to meet specific customer requirements. These scripts can be developed for customers as a service by the Small Building Systems product support team, or by the customers themselves using the Lua for SE8000 Programming Guide.
