This is a notice of the release of EcoStruxure Building Operation 7.0.1 Release Candidate. This advisory provides details of special interests regarding the re-introduction of the legacy protocols NETWORK 8000 and I/NET, important information about signed firmware, as well as details about commercial availability of licenses.

After upgrading to the latest versions of Chromium based web browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, EcoStruxure Building Operation web-based user interface, WebStation, in all released and supported versions may no longer operate correctly when graphics are attempted to be displayed. The symptoms include, but may not be limited to, failure for graphics to show data correctly and error prompts such as “MutationEvents not defined” being shown. These steps can be taken as workarounds for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

This is notice of two found issues on SpaceLogic AS-B firmware that have a combined and somewhat complex interrelation where the system’s upgrade history will decide which firmware version is installed. The first issue is related to SpaceLogic AS-B showing incorrect analog values or working incorrectly. The second issue is related to the upgrade/installation of the AS-B firmware. The second issue can impact the success of upgrade/installation of corrected firmware for the first issue. To successfully upgrade/install the corrected firmware it is essential to follow the instructions in PADV-EBO-24-0002.00. It is recommended to upgrade/install all AS-B to the latest firmware version in an EBO version under full support.

This is notice of a recent update to the EcoStruxure Building Operation 2024 release candidate. The original version posted to the EcoXpert Extranet (SpaceLogic Firmware package v6.00.01.00012) has been withdrawn due to a defect encountered during the upgrade of RP-X Controllers with connected Zigbee devices. A new release candidate (SpaceLogic Firmware package v6.00.01.02108) that resolves this issue has been published on the EcoXpert Extranet. Note that this new version also includes one other fix. See the EcoStruxure Building Operation 2024 Release Notes. Please ensure that no more installations and upgrades are done with SPL FW 6.00.01.00012 as it is now replaced.

Schneider Electric is providing notice of a recent update to the EcoStruxure Building Operation 2024 release candidate. The original version posted to the EcoXpert Extranet (EBO 2024 v6.0.1.91) has been withdrawn due to a defect encountered during the upgrade or import affecting some Modbus data points. A new release candidate (EBO 2024 v6.0.1.93) that resolves this issue has been published on the EcoXpert Extranet. Please ensure to remove any installations and downloads of EBO v6.0.1.91 as it will not be supported.

Schneider Electric is providing notice of some significant improvements in the software license ordering flow. These improvements are effective as of November 2022 and apply to orders of all software licenses related to EcoStruxure Building Operation. This also applies to existing orders which were made prior to November 2022.

This guide is intended to provide a brief overview and steps involved in troubleshooting any connectivity issues for EcoStruxure™ Building Operation Cloud Connectivity and Building Advisor Portal – (v1.2)

An issue with the process of cleaning and conversion from TAC I/A Series™ G3 to N4 of a JACE 3, 6, 7, and 8000 controller post January 1, 2021 has been identified. JACE controllers commissioned with Niagara 4.2 or above should operate normally unless they are reset to factory default via the two methods listed in the document, or if the G3-to-N4 conversion process is executed.

TAC I/A Series Niagara 4.6, 4.7 and 4.8 have a TLS timeout issue that could cause a Niagara thread to hang indefinitely. This has been fixed in Niagara 4.9.

TAC I/A Series Niagara G3 version 3.8.504 has been updated to include the latest JRE and Bouncycastle libraries. This update contains many security fixes provided by the vendors. In addition, other libraries were also updated to the latest versions to address bug fixes.

It has been reported that under certain conditions, EcoStruxure Security Expert customers are experiencing performance challenges with their systems. Based upon our review of the reported challenges, the actions being taken are explained in this TPA.

TPA-EBO-20-0009.00 In EBO v2.0.x & v3.0.2 when utilizing an Enterprise Central (EC), the BACnet default command priority setting value of the EC is imposed upon all child Enterprise Servers (ES) in the system. Any BACnet default command priority setting value in any of the child ESs that differs from the setting value in the EC will be overridden. This could impact system functionality. TPA-EBO-20-0008.00 Mercury has reported a firmware issue with regards to Leap year time calculations where they will not be properly handled in the new LP series intelligent controllers. This will result in the intelligent controllers reporting time/date incorrectly after February 29th, 2020 which is Leap Day. Read more in this TPA.

Schneider Electric has recently received product returns involving the MP-V series VAV controllers with the reported issues of "motor failure" or "damper actuator fails to respond to commanded position." A review has found this is NOT a controller hardware issue and the condition can be diagnosed and corrected on site.

An updated version of firmware for the MNB-1000 BACnet Plant Controller is now available. The MNB-1000 firmware v1.532 resolves issues with MS/TP reliability and corrects other miscellaneous defects.
