The Security Expert integration with IDEMIA MorphoManager combines the security and convenience of biometric identification with powerful access control functionality. Use any combination of fingerprint, face and card to access doors - all without the pain of duplicate data entry.

This application note provides instructions for deploying the extended services virtual machine and enterprise download server manually, without using the installer. You can deploy the virtual machine (VM) to Hyper-V or ESXi. Aperio integration is a licensed feature that enables Aperio wireless locking devices to be used within the Security Expert system. Each Security Expert controller can communicate with up to four AH40 Aperio IP hubs, with each hub allowing 16 wireless locks to be added to the system

The operating system (OS) is a key software component of Security Expert controllers, much like it is for computers and other devices. The OS is installed at the factory, and normally does not need to be upgraded after the controller is shipped and installed on site. However, there are some cases where it is necessary to upgrade the controller's OS in the field.

The Security Expert integration with KONE Office Flow enables you to manage access to the KONE elevator system in Security Expert, simplifying your access control system and eliminating the time spent programming user records in two separate systems. End users can use a single card to access both doors and elevator terminals throughout the building.

Security Expert Slim readers can be upgraded directly from the controller's web interface—no need to remove card readers from the wall, reconfigure the wiring or schedule downtime. The live over-the-network update process is designed to minimize disruption to the site's operation. The reader will remain operational and respond to card badges and PINs as normal while the controller uploads the firmware package via the RS-485 network. Security Expert integrates with Suprema BioEntry, BioEntry Plus and FaceStation devices, literally putting security at your fingertips, or on your face. Enrolment is both quick and easy. Users scan their fingerprint or face at an enrolment reader. The reader uses the scanned data to create a credential template, including a card number, which it sends to the Security Expert Server. Security Expert then sends this template to any other Suprema readers that are attached to the system, so the user only needs to enrol once.
