You can deploy the virtual machine (VM) to Hyper-V or ESXi. The operating system (OS) is a key software component of Security Expert controllers, much like it is for computers and other devices. The OS is installed at the factory, and normally does not need to be upgraded after the controller is shipped and installed on site. However, there are some cases where it is necessary to upgrade the controller's OS in the field.

The Security Expert integration with KONE Office Flow enables you to manage access to the KONE elevator system in Security Expert, simplifying your access control system and eliminating the time spent programming user records in two separate systems. End users can use a single card to access both doors and elevator terminals throughout the building.

Security Expert Slim readers can be upgraded directly from the controller's web interface—no need to remove card readers from the wall, reconfigure the wiring or schedule downtime.
